1940's Radio Case Lamp
On our travels we picked up this metal panel which came from a fairground ride - we like to think the Waltzers.
We brought it back to BIGG base cleaned it up, added a wooden frame which we painted black. I bought ten cabochon lights and added these to the base of the sign. Hey presto! You can almost taste the candy floss!
We were asked if we could do anything with this 1940's radio case. It came to us after being found in a loft and it's fair to say it was in pretty poor condition. After stripping it back, dying the wood and a few coats of lacquer things were looking a lot more promising. We sourced some bakelite knobs and added a light fitting inside the case.
Our client was really pleased with the end result and it know lives in their study.
